Court banishes IPOB, proclaims it terrorist gathering

A Government High Court in Abuja, has proclaimed the exercises of the Indigenous Individuals of Biafra (IPOB) “demonstrations of psychological oppression”.

This took after an application recorded by the Lawyer General of the Federation (AGF) and Pastor of Equity, Abubakar Malami.

Malami had requested that the court prohibit the gathering.

Prior on Wednesday, Priest of Data, Lai Mohammed, revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari had affirmed the legitimate procedure for the banishment of the gathering.

Talking with State House reporters in Abuja on Wednesday, Mohammed clarified that the strategy for banishment was that “the president must sign the declaration after which the lawyer general will take after the method which he is doing”.

“For the individuals who are focused with lawfulness, I have uplifting news for them: President Muhammadu Buhari has affirmed the way toward prohibiting IPOB, and the strategy is on as I talk,” he said.
