SARS official expelled over N5,000 blackmail while three different associates had their positions Reduced

Examiner Charles Omotosho, an agent of the Federal Special Anti-Robery Squad (FSARS), who coerced N5,000 from some street clients in Ikorodu zone of Lagos State, has been rejected.

A Twitter client, Princess Ife, on May 16, guaranteed that Omotosho debilitated to shoot at them with the exception of they paid a ‘payoff’ of N5000.

She tweeted: “With my experience today, it is sheltered to state SARS are outfitted burglars. Was going for a shoot in Ikorodu today and furnished individual from SARS pulled us over and influenced us to pay for reasons unknown. Undermining they would squander our lives. I made an exchange so they can be followed.”

The Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit (PCRRU) of the Police Force, while reacting to the charge, guaranteed to explore the issue and make discoveries of the examination open. Right around three months after the episode, PCRRU reported the expulsion of Omotosho, following the police’s examinations.

PCCRU in an announcement stated: “Refresh PCRRU316356. The Assistant-Inspector General of Police Zone 2, Lagos, AIG Ibrahim Adamu has looked into the Orderly Room procedures and affirmed the discipline of expulsion of AP. No. 136207 Inspr. Charles Olusola Omotosho from @PoliceNG wef 16.07.2018. Omotosho connected to SARS Ikorodu, Lagos at the time was discovered blameworthy of Corrupt Practices and Discreditable Conduct in opposition to Para. C (ii) and E (iii) of Police Act and Regulations CAP. P19 LFN 2004. Three different accessories of the rejected Inspector were granted discipline of decrease in rank from Sergeant to Corporal by the AIG. All @PoliceNG things (garbs and ID card) have since been recovered from the expelled Inspector.”
