Rapper Nelly, was arrested Saturday in Washington state after a lady told police he assaulted her.
Police captured Nelly American Rapper (Cornell Haynes) in the early morning and took him to a correctional facility in Des Moines, Washington, as indicated by a report from the police division in close-by Auburn.
The 42-year-old rap star, who is on tour with Florida Georgia Line, had performed with the country band at the White River Amphitheater hours earlier.
Nelly’s lawyer refuted the accusation.
“Nelly is the victim of a completely fabricated allegation,” said attorney Scott Rosenblum in a statement released to Page Six.
He also said
“I am beyond shocked that I have been targeted with this false allegation,” he wrote. “I am confident that once the facts are looked at, it will be very clear that I am the victim of a false allegation.”
