Nigerian reggae Artist Ras Kimono Reported Dead at 60 years

Popular Nigerian reggae artiste, Ras Kimono, is dead – a close family source confirmed this to Channels Television in a telephone interview on Sunday 10th of June 2018.

Mainstream Reggae artist, Ras Kimono, is dead, Channels Television reports.

A family wellspring of the performer affirmed the demise to the TV channel.

Sympathies have kept on pouring in for the Reggae vocalist whose melodies were prevalent in the 90s among Nigerians.

Among the individuals who grieved his demise were dubious congressperson, Dino Melaye, and prevalent vocalist, Sound Sultan.

The source revealed that the reggae musician was rushed to a hospital in Ikoyi after he slumped on Saturday. He added that Ras Kimono later died in the hospital on Sunday.

Ras Kimono Dead at 60Correspondingly, President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Mr Pretty Okafor, said he was stunned when he got the news that the reggae artiste had kicked the bucket.

Ras Kimono rose to fame after the arrival of his introduction collection ‘Under strain’ in the late ’80s.

His style of music was essentially affected by the hardship he encountered in his initial life.

The late reggae music symbol won a few honors including the Nigeria Music Awards and Fame Music Awards among others.
